I consider myself to be a bit of an explorer. I spend a lot of my time searching, researching, and planning. Sometimes I discover information or places that make me feel grounded. Other times I feel amazed by the things around me.
A few weeks ago, I was lucky enough to spend a day at Grand Teton National Park. What a spectacular place! I could have sat forever and stared up at those peaks. I had traveled there alone, and this came at about the middle of my 18-day solo vacation. I stayed awhile, enjoying the view and thinking about life. There I was, in the middle of a global pandemic, a fortunate soul able to escape the concerns of the world and just be alone with nature.
For now, it's back to family, work, reality. But I decided, while staring at those mountains, that this would be a good time to refocus my life a bit. I want to share more positive, uplifting messages instead of the opinionated or argumentative things we so often spread.
A few years ago I started a family history blog. And a travel blog. Not many people really looked at them, and I did it primarily for myself. I thought it would be a good way to share some of the things I saw, or learned, with people who were interested. For awhile now, I've been thinking about expanding my efforts. So, here it is. If you are reading this blog or have shared it with others, thank you! I hope your enjoyed it enough to return.
